Political Action

The Democratic Women of Clifton and Northern Virginia encourages our members and the general public to become politically aware and to exercise the right to vote.  Women have only had that right (the 19th Amendment) for about 97 years now, so it is of particular importance that we become informed, active voters and have an influence on public policy.  We encourage all voters to become participants in the political process.

We send our members weekly Political Action Alerts so that they can take action on issues that are important to them by contacting our electeds at every level of government.

We also encourage connections among leaders in the region and the greater Clifton area as we understand the importance of being informed and taking action locally and thinking globally!

The DWCNV does not take positions. We encourage our members to learn about all sides of an issue.
