We Won the Election, Now Let's Fix Virginia!

WE WON THE ELECTION, NOW LET'S FIX VIRGINIA!

It's the most wonderful time of the year. No, not the holidays... it's almost time for Lobby Days! The Virginia General Assembly convenes in January and we will be there to make sure they do what we elected them to do.

This means that we need to show up in large numbers, meet with our representatives, advocate for important legislation, and then hold them accountable!

This year, Indivisible NOVA West is focused on three key areas of legislative advocacy- Campaign Finance Reform, Immigration, and Environment (to include data center reform). Each of these issue areas has a specific "Lobby Day" at the Virginia State Capitol during which a coalition of supportive organizations will gather in Richmond for rallies and lobbying. Each day will be coordinated by a lead organization that will schedule the day's activities, provide handouts and materials, and provide training prior to their respective Lobby Day.

Indivisible NOVA West will be in Richmond on the following dates and we want you to join us:

January 20: Democracy Day (Campaign Finance Reform)

Lead Organization: Big Money Out

Transportation: Not Provided (INW will attempt to organize carpools based on number of responses)

7-8 AM: Breakfast/Registration. 8 am Press Conference, 8:30 Orientation

9:30 AM-Noon: Key Legislator Meetings Individuals and groups will be assigned

Noon: General Assembly Session Attendance in the Chambers.

1:30 PM - 3:00 AM

13:30 PM: Committee Testimony. Sit in on hearings in the Senate P&E committee

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

4 PM: Regrouping at the Church For a Debrief

5:00-7:00 PM5 PM: Drivers will travel from Richmond back to Northern Virginia

February 7: Data Center Reform Lobby Day

Lead Organization: Data Center Reform Coalition

Transportation: PROVIDED!!! The Data Center Reform Coalition will provide a bus with a bathroom that will depart from Gainesville in the morning. Sign up to receive more information. NOTE: A bus ticket costs $23.18.
