Wanted: Postcard Party Hosts

Gather a few friends, neighbors, family members, or fellow volunteers and turn postcard writing into your own fun get-together. You provide the enthusiasm and the place—we can help with the postcards, supplies, recruiting writers, and information you need to get started. It can be a small gathering around your kitchen table or a larger group event. The more postcard-writing parties we have, the more voters we can reach!

Wanted - Postcard Writers from Home

Yes, we need a lot of writers to send out 6,000 to 7,000 postcards to potential Sully Democratic voters! Do Somethin’ by getting postcard packets to write to Sully voters from home. Packets are available for 25, 50, 75, 100, or more cards, with or without stamps. We have stamps, so don’t let that stop you; however, any stamps you donate will help “fuel” our effort. Canvassing in Sully for Voter Turnout - Number one way to connect with voters. Easy to be discouraged, as a lot of doors won’t be opened when you knock, but when they do open, no other connection is as effective! Minimum 2 hours to be a part of Sully’s “knockin’ community”. NEW - Text Banking is now an option - The Virtual Coordinated Campaign has started Text Banking. Use this link to volunteer to show your interest in doing text banking (scroll all the way to the end to click on Text Banking.

We need canvassing hosts within Sully and minivan trainers. If you can host a canvass site, please write Kenny Thomas, the VA 2026 Coordinated Campaign Field Organizer. If you are willing to be trained as a Canvass trainer on Minivan Plus and how to instruct volunteers, please write Kenny. Kenny’s email is kenny.thomas@vademocrats.org. Canvass hosts are asked to provide a table and chair, water, and a restroom if needed. Snacks are super, but optional.

Please consider offering your garage/driveway and/or communication skills in support of our candidates and amendments. All locations in the Sully District are of potential interest, but the campaign is targeting these precincts for canvassing: Powell, Rocky Run, Green Trail, London Towne, Navy, Centreville, Brookfield, Waples Mill, Armfield, and Chantilly.

Lit Drop in Sully - Midterms are “here” and our 700 door hangers are in! Just need YOU to hang on potential new Sully voters' apartment doors. Simple activity; will need to get out, walk a bit, and use stairs. I think that is called “doin’ something!” ONLY need 1-2 hours of your time at your convenience between September 7 and 25.
