United at the Polls: February – November

  • 2 min read

Adam Ebbin announced his resignation of his VA District 39 Senate seat as of February 18, 2026 to take a position in the Spanberger administration as senior policy advisor for the Virginia Cannabis Control Authority.

Delegate Elizabeth Bennett-Parker won the January 13, 2026 firehouse primary and will now run in the February 10, 2026 special election to fill Ebbin’s seat. Should Bennett-Parker win Ebbin’s seat, her departure from the House of Delegates would require a special election to fill it, setting off a new possible cascade of special elections should another local elected official then run to fill her seat.

Thus, keep your eyes and ears open for updates as they arise; we will post these on our Facebook page as announcements occur.  https://www.facebook.com/DWCNV/.
