Communities Not Cages National Day of Action
On April 25th, we’re coming together for the Communities Not Cages National Day of Action to show up in defense of immigrants through nonviolent, peaceful local actions. Ahead of that, on April 14th, join Indivisible, Detention Watch Network, and Disappeared in America for a one-hour national training call where you will learn the tactics and strategies to host peaceful actions in defense of immigrants in your community. Noncooperation is simple in principle: we withhold our labor, our money, and our participation. We don’t go along.
On May 1 (International Workers’ Day), that looks like:

Fairfax County Public Budget hearing (April 14, 15, and 16)
Please consider sharing your opinions on the new meals tax, the proposed 4% increase in taxes for the average homeowner, and the budget at the Board’s budget public hearings on April 14th, 15th, and 16th. Residents can share their opinions in person or by phone, or submit a video before the public hearing. To see the advertised budget and to sign up to speak, please see here.

It can’t be said enough. Please contact your local and national representatives. Write them or call them or both. Get on their mailing lists.
They represent you, and they need to hear your voice. It was nice to see our local Congressmen out at the NO KINGS protests; they should be out in the streets.
Tell them to STOP this illegal WAR in Iran. We call on Members of Congress to respond to this crisis and:
Block any funding for this war. Not one dime.
Use War Powers Resolutions to force votes to end this war.
Hold Trump Administration officials accountable for their crimes and corruption.
