Advocacy 101 – Training Session – February 26th

Filmmaker Michael Moore has said, “I want Americans to realize that we are the owners of this country, and that one person can make a difference”.

He’s right. We do own this country – that is what democracy is all about — and one person, one voice can make a difference. So why not make it yours?

Join the Democratic Women of Clifton and Northern Virginia on Sunday, February 26th from 3-5 p.m. at the Clifton Community Hall, 12641 Chapel Road, Clifton, VA 20124 for a special advocacy training session. All Democratic women from Northern Virginia and their guests are welcome to attend.

Learn the tools and techniques to raising your voice about causes you believe in at both the state and federal level. Through examples and role plays, we will learn four key methods of effective grassroots advocacy.

We hope you will leave the training with confidence in your ability to affect change. As President Obama has said, “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
